A few weeks ago, Anglican Watch made a substantial donation to the Survivors Network of those abused by Priests, or SNAP. We also work with the group on various issues.
Why get involved with a group that was started to address sexual abuse in the Roman Church?
That’s a good question. And while SNAP had its origins in the Roman church, today it covers all denominations.
Even more importanly, SNAP addresses issues beyond sexual abuse to cover victims of retaliation and other non-sexual abuse.
On a one-to-one level, SNAP has proven to be a loyal ally and friend. We are grateful for SNAP’s encouragement and support and plan to continue our efforts to return the favor.
We encourage readers to support SNAP.
