Anglican Watch investigation reveals possible income tax fraud by Aaron Solomon

Grant Solomon

An Anglican Watch investigation reveals that Aaron Solomon may have repeatedly committed tax fraud. While we do not have access to enough information to form a definitive conclusion, we identified several indicia of possible fraud.

These indicators of possible malfeasance include:

  • The existence of a federal lien against Solomon, purportedly for taxes, in the amount of $6372.82.
  • Real and tangible property held in the name of his parents, which suggests he may be hiding income and assets.
  • Possible deductions on Solomon’s tax returns to which he may not have been qualified.

Additionally, we note that although Solomon was quick to insist that his former wife, Dr. Angie Huffines Solomon, pay child support, we have been unable to find evidence that he is paying child support, despite the fact that daughter Gracie no longer lives with him. Since Tennessee law does not permit the waiver of child support, we conclude that Aaron Solomon owes tens of thousands of dollars in back child support.

Anglican Watch encourages anyone with information on these issues, or information relevant to the death of Grant Solomon, to contact us via our tipline at [email protected]. Further, we ask that Tennessee officials ensure that Aaron Solomon pay all child support arrearages.
