Regular readers may know that Anglican Watch has been covering the case of Ben Day, an Episcopal priest who is currently the rector of Christ Church, Kennesaw. Day has a long and sordid history of questionable veracity, perjury, sexual misconduct, abuse of power, allegations of child abuse, and possible drug and alcohol abuse.
In the case of parishioner Art Blackburn, Day has repeatedly perjured himself in open court in an effort to shut down criticism. But Day doesn’t understand that Blackburn is not the source of our information, and we will continue to publish no matter what he does in court.
Moreover, the prosecutor in the Blackburn case has actual knowledge of Day’s perjury, as a result of our sending the prosecutor documentation that his current wife was a member of his church and received pastoral care from Day prior to their intimate encounter.
Indeed, the more bad behavior we see from Day, the more opportunities and reason we have to publish. And, we intend to continue our Title IV clergy disciplinary complaint against day, even as we guarantee that, at this point, Day is no longer employable in the Episcopal Church. And Day’s fabrications, which are well-known to parishioners and documented on this website, will result in the implosion of his current parish, Christ Church.
In that vein, we call upon parishioners to withhold all support from the parish until Day resigns as rector.
The jury trial in the Blackburn case is set for July 25th, 9:00 AM and is being held in state court, with Judge Carl Bowers presiding. The hearing will be on the 3rd floor of the courthouse, in courtroom 3D.
It seems like the whole case against Blackburn is a sham designed to stop the Title IV dead in its tracks. Shame on Ben Day.

Ben Day has been spotted this week near the Cobb County courthouse yelling up a storm. No doubt he’s trying to trump up more charges when the real story is his sexual misconduct.
