Spotlight on abuse: Episcopal bishop Chilton Knudsen

Chilton Knudsen, corrupt Episcopal bishop

Chilton Knudsen is a retired Episcopal bishop who has repeatedly concealed and covered up clergy misconduct.

Purportedly a recovering alcoholic, some have questioned her claim to recovery on the basis that her book describes a recovery process profoundly at odds with the steps outlined in many recovery programs.

Knudsen is also have to known to have held that perjury by Episcopal clergy is not actionable under Title IV. Additionally, she is alleged to have violated state and denominational mandatory reporting provisions regarding sexual abuse of children.

Anecdotal evidence also suggests strange behavior by Knudsen, including unexplained disappearances from public view and odd text messages late at night. Anglican Watch has been unable to independently verify these claims.
