Spotlight on abuse: Episcopal bishop Glenda S. Curry, Ph.D

Glenda Curry, corrupt Episcopal bishop

The Rt. Rev. Glenda Curry serves as bishop of that Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. In that role, she has covered up allegations of abuse by clergy canonically resident in her diocese. This includes complaints about the Rev. Stephen McWhorter, who is  alleged to have made unwanted sexual advances against male youth while serving a parish in Pittsburgh PA.

Curry also failed to honor her obligation under Title IV, the Episcopal disciplinary canon, to provide a pastoral response any time a complaint is made to an intake officer.

The Rev. Rob Morpeth, diocesan intake officer, similarly ignored his obligations under church canons.
