Spotlight on abuse: Episcopal university professor Phillip Gregory Harris

University of the South instructor Phillip Gregory Harris was charged in 1997 with sexually assaulting an eight year old boy in a Wal-Mart bathroom. He was also charged in 1998 with assaulting two other boys, including a six year old, while he was a forestry professor at Sewanee, an official Episcopal university. In a third case, Harris was charged with raping a seven year old boy in a Kmart bathroom. Sewanee fired Harris in 1997.
