Spotlight on abuse: Episcopal vestry member Michael T. Dolce

MIchael Dolce, alleged sex offender

Michael Dolce, a vestry member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach, and attorney who represented victims of child sexual abuse, was arrested on March 15 by FBI agents. The FBI allegedly forcibly entered Dolce’s apartment and found him in bed, viewing images of child pornography.

Local media report that Dolce was using BitTorrent, an anonymous peer-to-peer sharing service, to access the images.

Prior to his arrest, Dolce worked with the law firm of Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll, a law firm know for high profile litigation, including human rights cases. He is no longer employed by the firm.

Holy Trinity has instructed Dolce not to participate in church activities until further notice, but has declined to say whether they are conducting an investigation.

More than 2.000 images and videos of child sexual abuse were allegedly found in Dolce’s possession at the time of his arrest, including images of girls as young as five years old.

Dolce claims to have been the victim of child sexual abuse.
